Robert F. Smith is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Vista Equity Partners (Vista), a leading global investment firm focused exclusively on enterprise software, data and technology-enabled businesses. Under Smith’s leadership, Vista has become one of the most active tech investment firms in the world, today managing more than $100 billion in assets across its private equity, permanent capital, credit and public equity strategies.
Smith is deeply committed to philanthropic initiatives that create onramps to opportunity, serving as Chairman of the Student Freedom Initiative, President of the Fund II Foundation and helping lead the Southern Communities Initiative. He is also Chairman of Carnegie Hall, a Founding Partner of the Reform Alliance and serves on the Board of Directors for the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Human Rights.
Smith holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
